NOVEMBER 2008
S.O.A.R. in Sycamore! Presentation is at the Sycamore Theater located across from MMNH. Experience a “close encounter” with birds of prey. An American Bald Eagle, a Mississippi Kite, a Black Vulture, a Barred Owl, and several hawks, along with handlers from Save Our American Raptors, will provide the audience with an up-close view of these majestic birds at close range. Sponsored by the MMNH, this lively and informative demonstration will take place at the Sycamore State Theater, across from the museum. Raptors will present a thrilling demonstration of flight as they soar overhead through the theater. Sycamore State Theater should accommodate everyone, so bring the family. Admission is $5 per person. No pre-registration is necessary. Save Our American Raptors (SOAR) is a nonprofit environmental education organization specializing in wildlife rehab and public education.
