JANUARY 2009
Sunday Science Series Although dinosaurs are what most people associate with paleontology, the vast majority of paleontologists study other aspects of the long and complicated history of life on Earth. Paleontologists study virtually any organism that can leave a record of its existence behind. Many paleontologists study the fossils themselves, whereas others conduct theoretical studies, often highly mathematical, of how life has evolved. It is even possible to conduct paleontological experiments! This presentation will give an overview of the rich diversity of inquiry that is paleontology today. Presenter: Roy E.
