PLAN 1
There is plenty to learn just coming as a family. Self tour the Exhibit Hall, explore in the hands-on Nature Exploratorium, watch short videos about Illinois nature in the Rotary Nature Theater, and bring your notebook to jot notes as you observe wildlife in the Urban Wildlife Observation Center and Philbert's Pond living exhibits. Cost: $5 adult, $4 children 3-12. Plan about 2 hours for your visit.

PLAN 2
Home school families are encouraged to plan a field trip together to take advantage of the group rate (15+ students).

Your museum visit will include emphasis on your chosen area of study, a guided tour of the museum's collection of 100 preserved animals, time for self-exploration in the Nature Exploratorium and Urban Wildlife Observation Center and if you choose, a demonstration with specimens from the museu's live reptile and bug collection. Cost: $4/student (min. 15); one parent per family is free. Plan at least 2 hours for your visit.

PLAN 3
Classroom programs designed to meet State of Illinois educational goals are available to enhance your Plan 2 field trip experience. Family units are encouraged to tour together. Groups of 15 to 30 students can add one of the four 45-minute classroom programs listed below. Cost: $4.50/student (min. 15); one parent per family, free. Plan about 2 1/2-3 hours for your visit.
